This movie is AWESOME!!!
the graphics- 10/10 simply groundbreaking, you can see everything that's happening in so much detail, and the environments have managed to encapsulate reality: the surreal is made real here
plot - 10/10 can't reveal too much due to SPOILERS, but think Iraq War. also it has ten foot tall aliens. but they look fifteen feet in the movie
overall-13/10
simply awesome

I saw it in 3D last saturday.
I wouldnt give it 10/10 in the plot, it was copying most things from alot of movies.
The effects in the movie was awesome! And Hustler are making a porn version

the Na'vi (the blue aliens) are really tall
humans come up to the navi's waist (i think)
i estimate neytiri is 9'8", tsu-tey (i think that's how you spell it) 10'3", Jake is 10' or 10'1"
let me know what you guys think

I wouldnt give the plot a 10/10, it wasnt that great. Everything else is probably a 10. Did anyone read that article where James Cameron was bashing Halo fanboys because they all said that he copied Halo

Yes but I would only go to see it, seeing and hearing awesome graphics and sound doesn't excuse to story, District 9 may not have had better graphics but the story was really good and brought about in an interesting way.

that's a good point: Avatar has awesome graphics and is a showcase for what can and probably will be done in the future
but the plot leaves a bit to be desired

Fine, fine, we have our different opinions it would seem. But star wars went downhill in 2008 with that abomination of CGI trash. The older stuff was much better. Or at least in the movie industry it did.
