Wheres splitscreen gone?

Have most developers forgotten what splitscreen is?I mean its rare to find lately. I mean goldeneye thats multiplayer. I prefer having a buddy next to me over havin him buy a system n all that stuff.Like think about it Halo 3 got it right 4 player offline and online thats perfect.This one game on ps3 Warhawk its pretty fun and has 4 player online splitscreen which is why i have it.Like think about nazi zombies how fun would that be with 3 friends next to you I know it makes a game harder to create or sumthin like that but it would put so much more replayability into a game.

Well....not a lot of ps3 exclusives have split-screen. All of the games that I have on 360 have split-screen. Except for the ones that are single-player only.

Split Screen is getting a lot harder to do because most games push the hardware really hard which makes it really hard to display 4 separate screens at once on the same console.

Bungie has promised 4-player split-screen in Halo Reach.

I know what you mean but I've got quite a few games in my library that are split screen.

Perfect Dark Zero
Halo 3
Modern Warfare 2
Resident Evil 5
Gears Of War

and so on.
