Gears of War 3 to be announced on the Jimmy Fallon Show?

The source also said the game will be unveiled at E3 in June, but won't see a release until early 2011. Looks like we'll have to wait and see whether or not this rumor actually pans out.

IGN has contacted both NBC and Epic Games for additional details. We'll update this story when we hear back.

Very interesting place to announce Gears 3. He better run in with dual chainsaws.

I think it's great. Natal was on the show last year. The more games become mainstream the more we will see mainstream media run programing for gamers.

Guess i made the wrong calculations then =X....nevermind what i said lolol.

It might be so they can mass-market announce the game while not interfering with Halo: Reach @ E3 '10, and Gears 3 wouldnt be released till March-June 2011 anyways.

How does it not make sense. CliffyB wants to reach out to a bigger audience than just the people who would watch E3 press conferences, so he is debuting Gears of War 3 on a late show. Makes perfect sense to me.

Maybe its just that I am used to seeing announcements in conferences or being leaked.
