:( My xbox cd rom broke

Last night when i was playing some halo3 went to dashbord wanted to play some odst. Get my odst disc and place it in my cd rom and wham my cd rom does not read it.... so after trying all kinds off games nothing the cd rom does not read anything. But the cool thing is i am getting a brand new one MS rocks FUCK YOU SONy!! XBOX FTW!

Yeah its my 4th xbox that died so yeah. 1. Got hit by lighting 2. Cd rom broked 3. RROD 4. Cd rom again . But i still love my xbox

amazingly my xbox has not broke down on me once and iv had it since 2007

I live in africa and it gets very hot 40C so i really understand why my xbox breaks

Sucks but as long as it gets fixed for free it aint too bad.They throw in a month free live as well

Yea, Microsoft has you covered under their 1 yr general warranty & 3 yr RRoD/E74 warranty.

That is why i am so happy getting a new xbox and free xbox gold so yeah. See my motto with the whole xbox 54 fail rate if its true its cool but i am getting a new one for free so yeah MS rock!!!

1. Get AC in your room so it don't overheat.
2. Keep the system ventilated, not in cramped area.
3. Place it horizontal, not vertical. More problems tend to occur if you keep it vertical.

Place the xbox in the fridge, i think that will solve your problems

Then its more or less then my country, yesterday its was 10*C (50*F) outside, and its quite warm for this season.

I can get about -30*C (-22*F) in the Winter, and ill promise you.. You dont want to get outside.

Place it vertical, its better for older models (and new) to stand since it make more air flow around it making it cooler. Reducing the rate for RRoD.

I told him to put it Vertical and just don't touch it with a disc inside be he didn't listen to me. I also live in Africa close to Dew and my 360 is crawling up on 3 Years with no failures, and i play it alot.

I'm still on my very first launch Xbox 360. Go figure.

So Microsoft is cool because the product you bought from them broke, and Sony is bad for no reason whatsoever?

I our Country it costs R3 000 in our currency to repair a broken Ps3. That is about $300 that we have to pay to Sony outside of 90 day warranty, retail warranty not included. So we get fucked over by Sony so bad, real bad. However the 3 Year Microsoft warranty still stands.

Sony is bad for becoming a bunch of corporate limpdicks who refuse to admit any flaw in their "God Console".

PS. I am also on my first console that is now 3 Years old in November, and I play it for 4-6 hours at a time in African Temperatures which reach above 100 degress fahrenheit, 40 degrees celcius.

Like shogun said we would pay up to $300 to get a ps3 fixed and ms does it for free so yeah fuck sony again

Umm African storm and the house got struck by lighting. We lost 4pc's 3tv's 1 xbox 2modems so yeah african thunderstorm very bad lol. When it hit my white pro20GB xbox looked like a 20GB elite lol

DAMN! You guys have some crazy ass storms... Considering I'm sure all your things were in doors... A power outage yes, but to destroy the things indoors is just wow...

Move to California. We got good weather (and snowboarding!)

i live in Nova scotia(Canada).Not too many big thunderstorms here.

Move to sweden , most of the year its quite cold but in the summer it can be very hot. We got a very hot summer this year, almost 40*C and with the hummidity its stupid. Youll have waterfalls from the armpits

Nooo ignore them all, move to england. It's quite cold around here but not very cold and in summer it only gets warm; never hot.

You can goto VPGames.com and buy a Replacement CD Drive,Just don't take the Sticker off and make sure it's the Right Drive
