New Kinect pictures and details

A little bit of a change from E3 last year and it is a lot smaller than I previously thought.

This could be the crown jewel of the Kinect launch should it wind up playing well. The demo showed a Jedi working his way through a series of enemies before confronting Darth Vader himself at the end. It looked like the game was on rails as far as forward motion goes with the player responsible for waving around a light saber and using arm thrusts to do force pushes.

In the game we saw the player deflect back blaster shots with the light saber and begin a full on duel with Darth Vader. All of the motion in the light saber is controlled by the player, which could make for some cool battles if it all works out smoothly.

The visual style was reminiscent of some of the Clone Wars CG movies and shorts that have been made recently.

Seriously if Star Wars plays and works and described, I'm sold on Kinect. Just waiting on footage from the press conferences.

Wow the star wars thing sounds fun. Shame it's on rails though.

Yeah. The only big problem that I think Kinect has to solve is how to do movement properly.
I don't think running on the spot is a very good solution.

Natal could actually work out. Although Im not too sure I would buy it.

So Kinect is the name for Natal?

Ive heard mixed things from IGN impressions(ign Australia).

Though I do like how its smaller.

But I wont judge Kinect until it comes out.They can make plenty of improvements by that time.

They were more bashing at the event itself not Kinect. Aussies don't really like all that Cirque Du Solei stuff.

A lot of people hate the name change but i mostly think its down to people getting used to natal in a few months it will settle down

i've noticed some arrogant chip on the shoulder behaviour about MS at E3 and after that pathetic showing with hardly a decent announcement those
bigging up MS all over the net will look stupid if Sony and Nintendo impress tommorow and it wont be hard either, a few announcements will do, even EAs
conference was better than MS'. Shocked at how bad they were if anything.

Natal sounds so much better. But I probably wont even buy it, atleast not any time soon.
