What games should I grab this summer

Subject: What games should I grab this summer Sat Jun 19, 2010 10:37 am

hey im heading overseas to canada for 5 weeks and im wondering if you guys can recommend any games, im might (99.9999%) going to get red dead redemption and maaaaaayyyyybe (10%) super mario galaxy 2

can anyone recommend some games
btw im an fps kind of guy (even though RDR is 3rd person)
and i already pre-order cod black ops and reach

Screw every game, get TES IV: Oblivion. Game will last you 100+ hours, especially if you get the GOTY version, then you get two DLC.

but im just gonna get RDR and SMG2 and thats it because i gotta save money for reach because i didnt pay 100% for that i borrowed 30$ from my parents >.<

Screw RDR,get Oblivion GOTY edition.Wonderful game and ive put over 100 hours into it.

im not sure about oblivion... way to RPG ish for me if i would rather get ME2
ill just stick with RDR and super mario galaxy 2
REACH and BLACK OPS should support me for a long ass time

yes get mass effect 2 its the best rpg released for now

YES! RDR is amazing.
I'll play you online too sometime if you want. I can show you the awesome multiplayer glitch which enables you to kill people without them able to kill you and therefore how you can gain XP fast!

And if you like multiplayer elements in a game, you'll love the online mode of Red Dead.

yeh probaly, i was gonna get it today BUT the game was PAL and not NTCS which was a let down

Actually while I agree, I have to say it's a close one.

Oblivion boasts the ability to enter every single building. While RDR doesn't offer this ability, it still lets you enter a lot of them and they're usually unique whereas a lot of Oblivion's are duplicates.

Oblivion has more missions and stuff overall but in RDR it's a bit more realistic, in Oblivion to do side missions you need to talk to someone or they may run up to you and ask u for something whereas in RDR the side missions begin to happen before your eyes. Eg: you see a woman crying because she's lost her son, you see a whore screaming as a man attacks her, etc

Okay, Oblivion has a lot more content and everything but RDR has slightly more diverse gameplay and it also has multiplayer.

Graphics, Red Dead looks better (mainly due to it being in third person so you're not as close up to textures I guess though).

Oblivion has a bigger free roam area though, also you can actually talk to every single person you see (instead of just give a greeting) so that's where it also shines but still.... you have more interesting stuff going on in RDR.

Both games are good overall.

I think RDR may be a tiny bit inferior but overall it's definately on the same level.

Honestly, Oblivion is also one of my favourite games of all time. Hell I may even like it more than Red Dead (slightly if at all).
