Amount of players in a match...

Didn't Bungie say in an interview that they upped the max player count for multiplayer? The max amount in the beta was like 7 vs 7 so I'm guessing some gametypes have more players than others but....

If you played invasion on the beta, you would have teams of 9 people, thuse making an 18 player match, so it is up.

No I don't think it was. Invasion in the beta was 6v6 and can go up to 8v8 in Custom Games.
I think its still a 16 player cap.

Well I don't know but does the amount of players really make a difference? Tbh the less players, usually the more fun it is.

That depends, the more players for invasion the better. Invasion would suck with like 4v4
