| These live action trailers only make me want the game less. Show some gameplay, for Christ's sake! They're trying to establish some sort of universe with these live action ads, and then you ultimately play the game, only to experience a lackluster story. I love Halo for the gameplay. Therefore, I want to see some damn gameplay every chance I get. | |

Pretty sure theres loads gameplay on Youtube seeing as the game got leaked Yeah, but that will lead to spoilers. I don't like spoilers, whether I care about the story or not, because there's a small chance I will. If Bungie releases gameplay footage, they're going to keep spoilers out.

I saw a demo of Forgeworld, some Firefight 2.0 gameplay, some campaign gameplay (at E3), and I've obviously played the multiplayer, plus I've seen some of the other maps that weren't in the beta. I'd still rather see more gameplay than these stupid live action trailers.

Makes me wonder why they don't just make a damn Halo movie already.

youve seen gameplay or have easy access to it on youtube. I dont get it when people say they don't like gaming ads that have 0 gameplay. Its funny cause they demand it but allready know what it looks like You say you want the game less but in the end youl still buy it and put money in MS's pocket. Gamers that like Halo for the gameplay and ESPECIALLY MP will still buy it no matter what. These are for those unsure about the game, those who think Halo is a mindless fps. Halo has one of the deepest sci-fi stories out there and its about time people know that. Were vids like the spaceport actively interesting to watch? perhaps not but the overall goal to to showcase the story behind the gameplay......for those who arent allready hooked on the gameplay.

Yeah, we demand gameplay even though we already know what it looks like because it just gets us more amped. It's the same reason why I get excited over inFAMOUS 2, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fable III gameplay. Yeah, I already know how the game is going to play, but watching gameplay gets adrenaline going through me and I get even more amped for the game.

Seeing gameplay on TV gets you more amped then seeing it on youtube? That makes no sense and frankly seems weird. Advertising is meant to reach out to an audience and get them in. People like you allready know about the game. The idea is to appeal to those on the fence; the idea is to make a emotional attachment to get more buyers. If these people are somewhat convinced that Halo Reach has a tragic story behind the gameplay, thats more potential buyers. Personally, showing gameplay in television ads is dated thinking and keeps the appeal to the core gamer demographic, which isnt progressive. Im in advertising, this is how the big boys play
