In recent months I've been getting more and more into the genre of death metal (mainly melodic death metal). Examples:
In Flames (f****g amazing, pure epicness...one of the best bands ever) See: Moonshield, Gyroscope, Brush the dust away, Crawl Through Knives
Children Of Bodom (aahh man the skill! It's unbelievable!!) See: Follow the reaper, Children of bodom, Living dead beat, Banned from Heaven
Ensiferum (I believe it was TRF who told me about them in the first place. Damn they're good. Melodic power folk death metal XD wicked) See: From afar, Smoking ruins, Token of Time, Hero in a Dream
Lamb Of God (can't believe I didnt like em before!!) See: Grace, Broken Hands, Walk with me in hell, Redneck
Sacramentum (so underappreciated!) The Duskfall (" ") <-- found out about them thanks to the game The Darkness. Moonsorrow (they're kinda like folk death metal)
So yeah. anyone else into this wonderful genre? Give examples of your favourite bands! Please not Bathory though XD

The only bands I can think of that I enjoy at the moment are Death and Edge of Sanity.

Pretty much anything thats not deathcore.

COB = awesome! Death = ok but not my kind of thing. Amon Amarth = " " Ensiferum = really good. And yeah they are kinda death metal, it's got the style of screaming and death growling, amirite? lol

Deaths not your kind of thing. They pioneered the genre. Without them and possessed(thrash metal band) labeled an album death metal. Without those two bands. No death metal today. And ensiferums screams are because Finnish folk singers would yell and do deep throats(not that kind). but yeah, C.O.B is one of the best melo death metal bands out there. Not the best overall death metal band though.
