The difference is that the Kinect has a built-in IR emitter that is used to track 3D movement whereas as the Eye just uses a standard camera (without Move).

At the end of the day its the software that people will remember.
Move's software as of right now sucks balls, there isn't any game worth buying it for. Eyetoy's software wasn't greater either and thats why it dropped off the radar.
Kinect's software may not appeal to a lot of people on this forum but it definitely has a appeal that extends beyond the typical Halo player such as Dance Central.

I'm not getting Kinect, unless they release some games that appeal to me..
Like right now the PS Move does NOT appeal to me in the slightest, like only fanboys would buy one right now..
However next year I might be tempted, with Sorcery and LBP 2 supporting it..

I just hope Kinect gets something worth my attention >_<

I'm still getting Kinect(not when it releases) when those 5 core kinect games I posted before come out.

Anyways, I'm not surprised that it doesn't have foot, finger, or sign language support. It'd probably cost a lot more if it did.

I don't really see any Kinect games using fingers or sign language except for maybe foot support if you're into soccer or something.
