Borderlands releases yesterday 360 version sells out, plenty of PS3 versions to go around.

"Despite releasing just yesterday, the developer confirmed today shortages are occurring in specific regions across North America, and that the company is looking to meet the demand.

"Yes, Borderlands copies of the Xbox 360 SKU have run out in a few regions, especially the east coast," Gearbox VP of Marketing Steve Gibson told IGN. "We are aware of this and are working with production and distribution at ramping up to catch up with demand."

"There will be more copies of Borderlands available on shelves as early as Thursday or Friday at many retailers," he added. "The PlayStation 3 SKU issues on the west coast are mostly regional and can be addressed by reallocation. We are confident that will happen quickly."

So it look like PS3 owners have shown their true face once again. The 360 version sells out in most regions and they'll have to press more copies before they can keep selling it, yet the only shortages the PS3 version is experiencing can be fixed by relocating stock.

Yet again the proof is in the wallet. 360 owners buy games and PS3 fanboys don't even play games anymore.

And this is why 360 will continue to have strong 3rd party support along with exclusive DLC and 360 will continue to be the lead platform on multiplatform games while PS3 will continue to get inferior ports.

Yeah, 360 is going to get a lot of third party support because games sell so well on it
