| 2014 - Brazil 2018 - Russia 2022 - Qatar. What do you guys think about the choices? Happy, sad? I'm personally glad because of the diversity of the choices. Instead of it all being European countries, it's Russia (Eastern Europe/Asia), Brazil (South America), and Qatar (Arabian Peninsula). Each one is a fresh new culture compared to the other. | |

| I'm so disappointed Australia didn't get it in 2022. It would be a good change for football but since FIFA is just another money hungry corporation, we didn't make enough money for them. | |

| USA needs to get another World Cup already. Besides, who wants the World Cup to be held in a country that is smaller than the city of Houston. | |

| FIFA and UEFA really dislike England and English Football so I'm not surprised Russia won. As for Qatar? Alcohol is illegal there, yes? People will want to party and drink at a World Cup. Women have to dress from head to toe in clothing? (Could be wrong there) In 30-35 degree heat?
I really don't think a country with strict religious laws should not be allowed to host such an event.

I really don't think a country with strict religious laws should not be allowed to host such an event. There is no law enforcing women to where anything in Qatar. Edit: They will be serving alcohol to the visitors of the World Cup It's more of a matter of respect in Qatar then legality.

| Qatar DOES enforce Sharia law so it is a question of legality. I know because somebody I went to Uni with was from there. Also in Islam the matter of Respect can be more like a matter of life and death depending on the situation. | |

| I heard 2000 brazilian policemen and soldiers stormed some Drug Stronghold in Brazil a few weeks ago. The president really wants to clean shit up before they host.
Anyway. I dont know how a country qualifies but i do hope we finally qualify.
