North America's Preorders, ODST 1.3 Million (VG Chartz)

North America's preorders. Here's where ODST stands in the top three:

1 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 X360 1,080,698
2 Halo 3: ODST X360 996,486
3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PS3 342,280

And where is Uncharted 2, the PS3 exclusive all PS3 owners are so proud of?

14 Left 4 Dead 2 X360 76,059
15 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PS3 74,418

With six weeks to go it can't seem to even beat the 360 exclusive Left 4 Dead 2 which has nearly a year yet to go.

Looks like GeneralMLD said it best, "PS3 fanboys don't even buy their own exclusives."

An interesting tid bit.
Forza 3 is resting cozy at the 11th spot, but GT5 is nowhere to be found. Could be GT5 is still so far out that no preorders are being allowed.

Sony Fan boys have no explanation for this. Check out the totals:

Xbox360: 3,213,000 games are pre-ordered
PS3: 1,091,000 games are pre-ordered

Just this week:
Xbox360: 463,000 games pre-ordered this week
PS3: 160,000 games pre-ordered this week.


Just look at that difference. It's staggering. GeneralMLD should do a vid on these figures.

That's just America and I bet the same can be said for just about everyone besides Japan.

This pleases me.

Combined with Europe Halo ODST numbers.............ODST should outsell Killzone 2 in its first global week lol.

And seeing Left 4 Dead 2, a multiplat, outpreorder Uncharted 2 is also welcome news.

The article doesn't specify if this is all of North America or just the USA. If it's just the USA then we can count on the numbers being even higher with Canadian per-orders too.

Isn't L4D2 an Xbox/PC exclusive? No more support from Valve for the PS3 Slime.

ODST is going to sell like those little english blue-berry muffins that you fire up in the microwave, meaning it is going to sell more in one Month than most Ps3 games can sell in two Years.

It`s the biggest franchise on the xbox 360, offcourse it`s gonna sell like hotcakes.

it isnt surprising. but its also AAA franchise, one reason for its popularity.

whats noteworthy is the difference between MW2 360 vs MW2 Ps3 preorders, clearly more ppl associate MW with the Xbox. Compare uncharted 2 preorders and other ps3 exclusives.............they dont even come close to ODST numbers.

ps3 owners more or less underbuy their exclusives, damn shame.

hey im from australia and alot of my friends are trying to preorder odst but they look in every shop and its all sold out so theres an easy 100 000

We also have quite alot of ODST pre-orders in South-Africa too.
