60gig PS3s are dropping like flies

Everywhere I go I'm seeing threads like this.

Well at least i got a 3 year warranty even if my model is the old one (60 gig).

Mine is an 80gig but my warranty is expired. If it breaks I wont bother replacing it. I dont play it enough to justify spending 300 dollars.

My 120gb elite 360 has gone to ms twice. once for rrod and once for disc tray grinding.

What i see from that is:

Microsoft is willing to repair a broken system twice.

But if the PS3 breaks.... well we know Sony wont give a damn.

Did you have the 60gig PS3? My 60gig died of YLOD and then my 40gig GPU died and now I have an 80gig. Luckily I had an instore warranty for those PS3s.

Yeah I had the 60gb at launch it too died of YLOD...right now I am thinking about getting the slim but right now im loving the 360

I have a 60GB Ps3, its three years old and I've had no problems with it so far, the YLOD sucks ass but there are ways to avoid it and its not as wide spread as people make it seem. There are a few advices 60GB Ps3 owners can follow through in order to avoid the dreaded ylod shit

Tbh if my PS3 broke right now I wouldn't bother replacing it because I hardly use it except for bluray movies and demos. My 360 takes care of all my gaming needs.

I feel the same way about my wii lol, its like a sideckick for my Ps3.

I do not see why my posts keep getting deleted. But oh well.. the 60GB is the best model.... for Backwards compatibility anyway... however I cannot stand how Sony took that out... 360 wins again.
