What made you buy a 360?

Ps3 fanboys always seem to say that we bought 360 because either:
at the time ps3 wasn't out
or
it's cheaper.

I'm sure that's not the case for most of us, eg: I bought the 360 just a year ago because when I read forum posts and watched youtube videos, everyone who said 360 is better gave reasons for it. Everyone who said ps3 is better just left it at that or wrote abusive stuff "360 sucks, anyone who owns a 360 is a faggot!!" and stuff like that.

Mainly because i was a massive Halo fan from the XBOX 1 days. Also there was the factor of other exclusives such as Gears or Mass Effect

Cool. Yeah I got the system mainly because of the games too. I mean, I bought magazines for both systems, eg: PSU (i think its called that) and 360Gamer or something and compared the games they had. 360 just seemed a lot more intriguing to me

Because it has the games that I want to play. I also enjoyed the original Xbox even though I had all 3 systems last gen. Games like KOTOR, Rallysport challenge, Crimson Skies, Jade Empire,PGR and Halo were awesome. And so when 360 came out I jumped in. And 360 just continues to deliver the awesome games plus a superior online service too. Although for the first 2 years I owned a 360 I didnt have broadband and so I didnt have live so I didnt make a Gamertag. lol

Because Sony had FAILED me as a young gamer with Disk read errors. It's true my xbox has RROD'ed but they replaced it very simply.

I got my xbox last june.I got it because my friends were saying it kicked ass,plus the fact that Halo looked to awesome to be ignored.

Well one reason was that the 360 is cheaper.
But in the end was my crappy PC that made me buy a 360 in the first place.
Can i play SC Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and all those PC/XB 360 games on a PS3? Nope..

My friend made me in to buy one, never regretted it since the day.

One things will make me buy a new 360 (I hate sharing one with my brother) and that is games.

Originally gears of war, but also the future lineup in 06-07 time like mass effect, halo and so on.

Originally me and my brother wanted one for Grand Theft Auto 4.

My dad got me this

The sad thing is that I use to own a ps2 back in the days and only played xbox at my friends house, and I guess I felt in love with the first xbox that I had to get the 360

I bought it because I liked the original Xbox and I was a halo fan.

I actually broke my usual console policy of waiting to like 5 games before getting one for one game, and that one game was reason enough to purchase an xbox, halo.

Games and offerings it's that simple it's the best system hands down this Gen, don't believe me Sony which was the dominating console maker the last 2 Gens are now down to copying MS with every update. Who would have guessed that last Gen, Halo/Gears helps also.

True. Last gen you were required to own a PS2 if you wanted games, but now you can own whatever you want and get a better experience.

Halo, Xbox LIVE & the Xbox 360 controller.

Because it had halo and halo is my favourite franchise and also because nearly everyone of my friends had a 360 and barely any had a ps3. Who would want to be a loner online? ps3 fanboys can bitch about rrod all the time and I still wont get a ps3 because I have a 3 year warranty thanks to microsoft and besides my 360 is an elite and elite consoles kick ass.
