| It wasnt really that they developed motion controls, its that they developed a really fun and killer game for the motion controls. I doubt anyone could name a PS2 eye toy game which is as successful as Wii Sports. | |

| We have gaming as it is today thanks to Atari, Sega, and Nintendo.
Atari gave us the first home console with interchangeable games.
Nintendo saved gaming after the crash of 1983 and introduced us all to the D-Pad.
Sega gave us SegaNet on the Sega Saturn, then perfected it on Dreamcast which is the model Microsoft used for Xbox Live on the original Xbox.
Atari, Sega, and Nintendo have given us so many firsts it's a real shame that Nintendo is the only one left making hardware. Sure Atari dropped in quality in the end, but Sega did everything right with the Dreamcast. | |

| Lets face it no Nintendo probably no Sony and Microsoft cause i do recall that Sony and Microsoft only joined cause they saw the popularity that Nintendo got well Sony did. Microsoft saw all the popularity from Sony so then they joined. AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE RUMBLE PACK! (Nintendo made it with its N64 controller) | |

| I probably wouldn't be into gaming today if it weren't for Nintendo. I've owned and enjoyed all their consoles to date. I haven't always agreed with their decisions and sometimes they just downright piss me off.. But they definitely deserve the credit. Anyone who says otherwise obviously didn't grow up in the 80's. | |

| Now that I think of it. Nintendo and Sega were really the founders of gaming as it is today, because Atari after the 2600 turned into crap. So really now that we think of it Nintendo and Sega are to thank. Thanks Ninty and Sega. | |
