Next Gen, Should Nintendo Become a Software Only Company?

I'm wondering how you guys feel about Nintendo taking the Sega route and making games for other consoles. Sure, it will never happen with all the money they made off the Wii. But I can't help but think how awesome a 720p Mario and Zelda game would be. Thoughts?

If they would leave the console making, in think that would be and option.. .But i think they still would be in the handheld division...

I couldn't really care what Nintendo does now. They've ignored us hardcore gamers who loved the gamecube and have moved onto the goddamn kiddy/casual stuff.

I'll go for Sony's PS & MS' X-Box

Less hardware manufacturers means less competition.
That pushes towards monopolization. = bad.

I like the GC too, but most its hardcore games were multiplatform except for resident evil.

You could see a mario in 720p when they make a new wii hd....

like mario, zelda, SuperSmashBros and a whole lot of other games

but sadly i dont like wii

I do like some wii games like Madworld and NMH, but the DS is crap compared to PSP, all it has really are cheap wii ports like My sims and my language coach.

And don't bring in Mario, because he is just an excuse for Japanese do be racist to Italians like me.
