I don't know. It seems a bit early for GTA5. Rockstar did take their time to make GTA IV and that was amazing IMO. I just don't want them to rush this because of profit reasons and ship an unfinished product.

Thats the most likely scenario. I really don't see them doing Liberty City again and since San Andreas is huge, they're probably gonna need the new wave of hardware to develop such a large scale game with a proper draw distance and maintaining next-gen graphics.

Because Vice City and San Andreas are expansion packs to GTA3 as they use the same engine. Basically they have a new numbered sequel when they have an advancement in the game engine.

No, expansion packs require the original game to play like Gay Tony. Vice City and San An are full games like Left for Dead 2.

Most sequels use the same engine, rarely do developers make new engines for games on the same console. They only developer new engines for new hardware, but that didn't stop Tomb Raider from getting number up to 4 or 5 on the original Playstation. Hell even GTA 1 and 2 use the same engines and you can bet that GTA5 or what ever it's called will use a slightly updated GTA4 engine.

Well Rockstar official referred to them as expansions to GTA3. And expansions don't always require the original game, ODST didnt need Halo 3.

I don't know your reasons, but I can't stand GTA. It's for people that like to dick around in games rather then follow a story and for kids who think killing random innocent NPC is funny. Besides I like to play as a hero, not a murdering drug runner.

It seems Early and the GTA4 expansions (The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony) are JUST NOW FINALLY coming to the PS3 & PC as well.

That is pretty much the same reason as why i dont like it.But last time i said that i was critisized by people here and had like 4 people arguing with me.

GTA is one of the best gaming series ever. I hope they annouce it a E3.

As for the setting.

Vice City - Highly likely and such a cool setting. Were GTA IV was dark and grim, they should return to this vibrant colourful 80's era.

San Andreas - I loved playing in this setting, the biggest and most diverse game world ever. Especially loved playing the role of "CJ".

Im hoping for San Andreas. And hopefully they can make it as big GTA: SA

And heres hoping they bring back the RPG type elements and the character customization i.e Tattoos,Clothes,Hairstyle and whether or not your character could be a fat slob or hit the gym to bulk him up.

Vice City was set in the 80's and San Andreas was set in the early 90's. There more like spin-offs than anything else.

Vice City is one of my favorite games of all TIME.
