Which did you own (if any)?
Which did you prefer?
Which had the better games in your eyes?
Which games were the highlights?

Talk about your experiences with last-gen systems Razz

I owned both N64 & PS1.
I bought more games on ps1 but I think I preferred N64. Nothing last-gen could beat Ocarina Of Time or Majoras Mask imo. Also Duke Nukem 64 was awesome, definately preferred it to that Duke Nukem game on ps1, Time To Kill.

Oh and of course, Conker's Bad Fur Day. Very Happy

PS1 was the better system in terms of games library but like Nintendo Gamecube to ps1, there were some gems on those Nintendo systems that really made me prefer them to the sony systems.

Though if I were to still play my Gamecube & Ps2 now I think I would prefer Ps2 slightly as my sort of favourite gaming style has changed.

N64 OWNED Playstation IMHO......just how I feel about 360 over PS3.....but dont get me wrong, Playstation is amazing just as well as the Xbox brand, but I just PREFER N64/360 Arcadey style games over realistic games.

Really? I hate arcadey games xD I feel that 360 technically doesn't have arcade games, I mean ps3 is more like an arcade system because most if it's 1st party games (eg: Uncharted 2, Killzone 2) are realllly linear like a typical arcade game whereas 360 has the more open-ended ones. Razz

Btw CONGRATULATIONS for your 1000 posts.

I owned an N64 and loved it. I never even got around to playing a PS1 game until years after it was discontinued. I still remember being shocked by how much the graphics sucked compared to the 64.

I owned a PS1 and played my mates N64's back in the day, even though I owned a SNES and I thoroughly enjoyed it by the the time the next Gen had come along I had matured to the point where Playstation games appealed to me more.

Metal Gear Solid (arguably one the best games of all time),
Syphon Filter 1, 2 & 3 (Those games were amazing!),
Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3,
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins 1 & 2 (Better use of stealth than MGS!),
Medal of Honour 1 & Underground,
Silent Hill,
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1, 2, 3, & 4,
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Far better concept than God of War IMO),
Command & Conquer: Red Alert & Retaliation,
Crash Bandicoot 1, 2 & 3,
Crash Team Racing,
Tomb Raider 1, 2, 3, The Last Revelation & Chronicles,
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare,
Ape Escape,
Army Men Series,
Tekken 1, 2 & 3,
Mortal Kombat Series,
Destruction Derby 2,
C-12: Final Resistanc,e
Cool Boarders 1, 2, 3 & 4,
Driver 1 & 2,
WarGames: Defcon 1,
G-Police,
Gran Tourismo 1 & 2,
V Rally 1 & 2,
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee,
Poy Poy 2,
Spyro series,
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace & Jedi Power Battles,
Time Crisis,
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six,
WWF: War Zone, Attitude & Smackdown

The nostalgia from simply writing that list was immense!

hahaha yeah xD I love spending ages writing things like that sometimes even if no one reads them because it brings back memories and it's just satisfying isn't it hehe

Btw Abe's Oddysee was cool!!!!! So was Tomb Raider & Legacy Of Kayne.

Btw I didn't know that Rainbow Six was on PSx! I need to emulate that on psp Razz

I owned a N64 during the fifth generation. I didn't start playing PSone until the sixth generation, where I played PSone games on my PS2, and even then, I rarely played them. From what I've played, I like the N64 better, it's actually my favorite console of all time due to my love of its library. My favorite N64 games were:

-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
-Super Mario 64
-Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
-Pokémon Stadium
-Pilotwings 64
-Pokémon Snap!
-Yoshi's Story
-Star Fox 64
-Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
-Banjo-Kazooie
-The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

N64 was my favorite. It was mine, PS1 was my brothers. Only thing i liked on PS1 was Final Fantasy and Twisted Metal. Although I do wanna play some of the other JRPGs on the PS1, but i can't really find them except for on amazon or something. And the incompetent PSN store only has a few PS1 classic despite the PS1 having a large game library.

Loved Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Pokemon, damn that was a great system.
