| So what you guys think hu? Any chances to be awarded GOTY? In my due honesty the demo just blew my mind away, the game is fucking awesome. I'm actually having more fun than MGS4.
Sam Fisher you now have a new fan.

| A thing that i like is the difficulty. Althought you now are encourage to kill people instead of passing trought them, you need to do it, by using stealth and not in a killing spree, cuz in normal a few hits and its Game Over, kinda like R6V. | |

Conviction has a good chance of springing itself up to MGS 4 quality, but overall the Splinter Cell franchise just cant touch MGS.

| I like it, reminds me of Double Agent, but the guns are for more killing than stunning and sleeping. | |

| the game's great but i doubt it will win GOTY. It might be a nominie for best stealth game or some other catigory but won't be in the top 5 nominies IMO. I'm definatly gonna pick it up first day it comes out & that's for sure.
By the way for you guys that are gonna purchase the special editon for like £10/$15 extra just for the DLC like infiltration mode and some other goodies. Well there's no need for that coz you can get them for free on the uplay website that allows you to redeem points from certian achievements you earn.

| its ok, but honestly its not a buy for me, i just dont see myself playing it that much. Im much more excited for Alan Wake which i have pre ordered.
My big games for 2010 are Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, and REACH. Mass effect 2 of course started it all.

PEEK UNDER, CLIMB THIS PIPE, KILL THIS GUY. Etc, the voice acting was mediocre too. But the gameplay in the demo was pretty awesome, AAA imo day one buy too.

A very smart way to put objectives without going either to a menu or a PDA or whatever. It kinda like what Sam Fisher is thinking. They got my vote in there.

| In no way does this game touch MGS series. Its way too simple, and the gameplay will get repetitive fast. I doubt it'll get any awards, and I'm not too impressed by the visuals. But I'm sure it'll get high scores regardless. (LOL JUST KIDDING!! XD I really like the gameplay, it feels like the birthchild of MGS4 and Uncharted 2. Its got great elements from both games that'll appeal to stealth and action gamers.) | |

Yeah there are a lot of people, like myself, that think the MGS series relies too heavily on melodramatic nonsensical lengthy cutscenes. When you get to play the game it's fun, but none of it really makes any sense. I'm not much of a fan of stealth games, the only one I really liked was MGS1, but this Splinter Cell looks to do a lot of innovation in the genre.

No. But this is the polar opposite of that. You're over-exaggerating it. It does not tell you absolutely everything such as "kill this guy". Personally I think that it guides you in a way that is not too intrusive of the experience. If you think otherwise, then theres nothing I can do about that.
