Fable III and Natal

Peter Molyneux has revealed that Natal will not be implemented into the entire Fable 3 experience.

Instead it’ll be added where it’s ‘cute, funny, engaging’ according to an interview with bit-tech: ”You still need a controller to play Fable III but there are places in the world where you can use Natal, where it’s cute, funny, engaging. You don’t need it but it does enable an enhanced Fable III.”

I guess this gives a clearer idea of how Natal will be used in Fable 3 but it looks like you’ll have to hang onto your controllers.

Molyneux also added that downloadable episodes would be released for Fable 3 following the games release later this year: “I’ve often thought it would be brilliant to be walking through Charles Dickens’ London. It was such a dark place and very episodic too – so we’re doing that with Fable III, We’ll give you the first big episodes, and you’ll be able to download new episodes, which is analogous to the way Dickens wrote.”

It appears that the content will be available from the shops dotted around Albion to save you that trip to the Games Marketplace: ”Some of the shops in Albion are linked to the internet and every so often populated by stuff from Lionhead. You don’t have to go out to some horrible dashboard and download the Armageddon Pack 5.”


Thankfully its not a major part of the Fable experience.

I think natal with fable is a bad idea like the eye toy because it just doesn't look right and playing an rpg with no controll is meh
