Just trying to get some perspective on the 360 community, please post. Oh and try to mention subgenres too. Example: Genre = RPG, subgenre = Western or Japanese.

I cant really say for sure. It really depends to how well the game's executed.
Also, some games are sort of cross overs between life simulators and beat 'em up style games. :S
I'll attempt this anyway:

1. Sandbox games ( include Bully, Grand Theft Auto, Gun, etc)
2. First Person /some third person Shooters (includes MW2, Halo, etc)
3.RPGs (would be higher but I hate the majority of rpg's, but some of the best ones are my fav games ever. Eg: Fable II, Oblivion, etc)
4.Adventure games (includes: Little Big adventure 2, Broken Sword, Grim Fandango, etc)
5.Creative stuff...(I dunno the real name for these kinds of games but they include Littlebigplanet, The Sims, etc)

Btw for RPG's I meant Western. I hate JRPG's for the most part except I want to get Hexyz Force for PSP and the next Dragon Quest game for DS (when I get a ds lmao).

These days almost every game is a mix of a shitload of game genres.
I mean, what is Uncharted? A third person shooter or a platform game? And Bioshock? A RPG or FPS? Day and day is harder to classify games in genres, except the racing ones.

uncharted is a fps primarily

FPS or TPS? FPS - First Person Shooter & TPS - Third Person Shooter. I think you meant TPS..
