the future of exclusive games

im going to make a vid on this but when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. its easier for developers to make money if they make multiplat games. i see in the future wii wont see exclusive games for anyone else except for MS, Sony, and Nintendo because games cost alot of $$$. what do you guys think?

I think there's still gonna be a ton of exclusives for each consoles in the future. If there were only multiplats then there wouldn't be a point in having more than one console on the market.

There will be a lot less 3rd party exclusives in the future as multiplat is the best way for them to make money. We see with Final Fantasy, even though the PS3 version outsold 360, the 360 version still made a significant amount of money for Square and reached out to an audience outsold of typical Sony JRPG players.

ps3 fanboys are saying it sold like crap. even though it sold over 1 million.

MS will be in the best position.

They will do what they do now...........go to primarily PC devs and make them port their games to the Xbox.

Nintendo and Sony dont have those kind of connections to the PC market.

Hmmm, I think I agree with Generalmld. MS pay PC devs to develop games for 360, even if those games aren't suited for consoles and are built for pc's mouse.
Eg: Supreme Commander.

MS cares about us and will make sure we get what we need.

If this happens I might never need another console after I get that 360 Elite.

To be technical we do have one, but my bro hogs it.

Without exclusives there would be no market, really. But there will most likely be a lot less 3rd pary and more 1st party.

This is the way the market is going at the moment and will continue to keep going this way, This is why MS need to have some more 1st party developers as this is one area that sony is kick MS arse and lets be fair Most 1st party Sony exclusives are AAA games.

A great Amount of the best looking games are exclusive, because they are dedicated to a specific hardware, so i hope ,that there will always be a great amount of exclusive games.

No, it's the other way around. Most AAA games are by 1st party developers for Sony. There's been a couple 1st party developers that have made shit games for them.

Exclusives are what defines a console. In a perfect world the big 3 would come together and produce a single console that everyone could develop on. Stop fighting and work together.
