GOTY (new one)

there are so many games that are potentiol GOTY right now, there used to be ME2, GOW3, halo reach. now there is red dead redemption scoring 95/100 and SUPER mario galaxy 2 scoring 96/100

Red Dead Redemption has a good chance, but I doubt SMG2 will get it even though it deserves it.

GOTY is Halo: Reach. PERIOD.

thats probably your opinion man..
but still it might win,who knows..rdr might win because gta 4 won goty and the reviews are preety high and smg2 might win also because smg1 got goty.as for mass effect 2 and probably fallout new vegas..i think mass effect 2 has a chance but for fallout,it will be a bit difficult

I think the various game of the year awards will be split between Mass Effect 2, Red Dead and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Halo: Reach might get some too, I just don't see it getting as much acclaim as these titles.

No chance for God of War 3 though.

I still think it is too early to tell.

Currently, I think that Mass Effect 2 deserves it. I just really hope that it doesn't fall under the start of the year/forgotten category so many good games seem to.

I'm not too sure. It could swing either way.
Here's what I think the chances are for each game:

Mass Effect 22%
Red Dead Redemption 21%
God Of War 3 20%
Super Mario Galaxy 17%
Halo Reach 20%


I dont know why but I just don't believe Halo Reach will have the same impact Halo 3 had.
I could be wrong, I'm really hyped up for it and think it will be amazing but I'm sure people would want something fresher.

My money at the moment is on Read Dead Redemption for GOTY.

As for Halo Reach it is not currently in the running for GOTY in my opinion only because it has not come out yet and so we have no idea what the final product is yet, Also I feel that Halo Reach needs to be a revolutionary change from Halo 3 to even be in with a shout.

This is just my opinion as the Year currently stands, But we are not even halfway through the year yet and there is still a lot of great titles to come out before the year ends.

Red Dead Redemption has a good chance IF and IF they fix the Multiplayer online.

Reach has a good chance aswell. Mass effect 2 will be nominated at least.

Out of games I have played, it would go to Red Dead for me right now. but we still got another half of the year to go through.

Has of now its a fight between Mass Effect 2 - Red Dead Redemption - Super Mario Galaxy 2. Let's see about Halo Reach in a couple of months.
