| More L4D2 is always a good thing, and this is no exeption, when it comes to DLC, The Passing delivers, offering two new weapons: the M60 machine gun and golf club, new jokes and dialog, and some old faces.
Content: The Passing is a new campaign that takes place between Dead Center and Dark Carnival, where the survivors must get past a bridge in order to keep moving. Sound easy? WRONG! The bridge is locked up by the L4D1 survivors because the generator is out of gas, and the only way to pass it is to use an "Under The River" tour that takes them through a sewer to get to that gernerator to gas it up, yes I know, the finale just borrows from Dead Center, but is much better when two (seriously) Tanks come to play, but Louis has something speicial for them. The new weapons are a nice bonus, and rushing through the sewer is an intense part, and running into a wedding, where a Witch is left at the alter, is always funny (turn on the stereo at the left to piss her off). Usualy DLC is 10$ for the same amount of stuff (but not as much as Fallout 3's), but at 7$? You do the math. 9.5
Replay value: Its L4D, this answer is obivous, but there is a flaw: it's only three chapters, but great for Versus when you don't have hours to spare. Also, when you download this, you get a sweet new game mode called Mutations, which takes normal modes each week, and makes them crazier, example: taking a gnome in any from start to finish, (Last Gnome On Earth) or combine two others modes into a bigger one (Realism Versus). They are all playable in all campaigns, not just The Passing. 9.0
Overall: This is much better than Crash Course by a longshot, it's worth every point.
Seeing some familiar faces is nice + Only 7$ + Mutations are a hoot! + Only three chapters - Did i mention what happend to Bill?
9.5

| So much for $7? There is barely anything! It was a rip off! But mutations is fun. You barely saw the original survivors, yet they hyped that up like it was a big deal. This DLC is a rip off.. |

Well we all have different opinons, and Crash Course was even smaller than this.

It's only free on PC because if PC gamers found out you had to pay for it, they whould just download it illegaly off the internet. On Xbox 360, there is no other way to get it, so they charge us for the work VALVe did.

Well we all have different opinons, and Crash Course was even smaller than this. I didn't even get Crash Course Crash Course was not worth 7$, but The Passing actually is.

Well we all have different opinons, and Crash Course was even smaller than this. I didn't even get Crash Course Crash Course was not worth 7$, but The Passing actually is. Maybe 5. But with the short pathetic campaign, and how you barely saw the original survivors even though it was hyped by valve majorly just sucked. I do love the M60 and the other game mode maps though. |
