Sony Planning a $199 PS3? 198486-ps3-199.99_original

Another Sony announcement leaked or just a misprint? It's hard to think Sony would cut the price that much just as they're finally starting to turn a profit on it.

I doubt its real, or it is probably just with a bundle with the TV's or something.

I doubt its real.They wont make any profit if they do that.But if they do that,ill definitly get a PS3

They still are making a loss on every PS3 so there's no way they can afford to put it this low.

VERY unlikely... would be awesome though, but why should they do this? Sure they would get insane sales, but they would lose money again...

I think is just with a bundle with TV's and such. Like if you buy a tv you get a ps3 for 199 or something, but if thats true they should word it better.

they should keep the price the way it is so they can get the money back that they lost. you cant just rely on game sales to make your money ya know

True, because a lot of people just buy the PS3 as a blu ray player and not for gaming.

with an xbox price drop on the way the ps3 price will have to drop with it or suffer sales drops
