Halo: Reach's Metacritic is....

At the moment, Halo Reach is at a 93 on Metacritic. Not bad, not amazing but certainly a great score.

It's funny how people are complaining that Reach is "only" getting 9.5's as if they somehow know how good the games is, prior to it's release.

Anyway, I wish I my 360 wasn't broken, otherwise, I'd be picking this up day 1. Here's to hoping I can round up some money by the end of the year

UPDATE: Metascore now 94

93% not amazing?

This proves that the scoring system of the reviews is just screwed up.

9 is "okay" 10 is "good" and anything other is "average".

Agreed. Then people think A games suck. Which is untrue.

BTW, it's 94 because of 2 more reviews.

I dont get it,there are many full 5 stars,A+'s and 9.5's.And only 2 lower ones.Why does it effect the score so much?Ther 9.5's outnumber the lower ones by ALOT

Anyways,it will most liekly go down or up when more reviews come

Well in the 2nd grade they taught us how to add numbers and then find the average number among them.

Okay let's look at this.

Halo Reach

12 perfect scrores
3 95s
2 94s
2 93s
1 92
4 90s
2 85s
3 80s

~93.8 percent average which is rounded to 94 . No not hard to believe.

94 is an amazing score considering this is coming off the back of the last two Halo games (ODST and Wars) which were a bit of a disappointment critically for Halo's standards which may have put a lot of people off the series.
Reach definitely deserves this score.

back to 93 now.

Some of my favourite games are AA. Even if Halo Reach got 90 I couldn't care less, if a game has made it to AAA, it's no doubt an amazing game, among the best available.
I'm certain that most low-90's are better than the high-90's.

I'm sure someone mentioned it before but the score is back to 93%. Damn reviewers that I've never heard of before!!

Oh well, 93% is still incredible after the rough scores for Halo ODST and Halo Wars. Bungie did a good job.

I thought after all of the hype it was getting from people it would be one of the highest rated games ever (95-99) Still great score but not as high as i thought

IT DROPPED TO 92!!! halo reach just lost 5 million sales
