- Gears of War 3 fans got some big news today as Microsoft announced that a Gears of War 3 beta is set to launch sometime next year. Additionally, the beta will introduce a new feature to the Gears universe – dedicated servers!

The guys over at IGN were kind enough to mention that Gears 3 multiplayer will also feature host migration, another nice touch.
While not too buff on details, here is the official quote from Microsoft:
“We plan to host a public multiplayer beta for Gears of War 3 in 2011 featuring dedicated servers.”
Yeah, pretty straightforward, but still cool nonetheless. So, are you psyched about this, or has it taken them too long to finally introduce dedicated servers to the Gears of War franchise?
