10 Ways Xbox 360 Changed Gaming

That was cool.
Looks like Microsoft have really had a huge impact on the games industry.
Digital distribution is just the only thing I wouldn't really have on there though... I mean, you could always download stuff on pc's. It's nothing new, except for consoles really.

So when consoles try to catch up with the PC platform they call it innovation? The only things you can attribute to the 360 are achievements and kinect.

Pc isn't a gaming system. It's like Microsoft adding the ability to phone people up on xbox. That's innovation. Yes phones existed but they've never been used in that way. So there!!!11eleven

About 300 million PCs are sold every year. You can't present your own assumptions as statistics.

How many for gaming? I guess we'll never get that statistic but we know all of those consoles sold were for gaming, yes? And I'm sure the combined sales of this gen and last equal if not is there or thereabouts to 300 million, I'm pretty sure the PS2 sold near enough to 130 million alone.

Also, I don't think you should use "gamer" as a statistical demographic, because everyone has his/her own definition of the word gamer.

The headline was "10 Ways Xbox 360 Changed Gaming". Note how it doesn't say console gaming exclusively. My point still stands.

lol it's not made FOR gaming. Okay, some are. But pc itself is not a gaming system. Gaming is just one of the features it possesses. Just like my phone has the option to take photos. Judging by your logic it must be a camera?
Okay, there are some phones where the camera is one of the main functions. Now is it a camera? No it isn't. It's a phone.

Achievements have been in PC gaming much longer then Xbox 360.

A gaming system is a system that can be used for gaming. Google the term and you'll find all sorts of PC links.

Oh, and an xbox 360 is not a gaming system. Gaming is just one of the features it possesses. I mean, it can play DVD movies and you can use it as a media center, amirite?!?!?!

I agree that a PC is not a console. But gaming system? Yes. A modern gaming PC blows the current gen consoles out of the water in terms of performance, and claiming that PCs can't be gaming systems is very ignorant.
