Well actually, the score could drop even further.

From what I notice about game reviews. The more reviews there are the lower the average will be. Halo Reach started with a 94 and dropped to a 91. Fable 3 started with an 83 and dropped to an 80. Black Ops started with a 92 and dropped to an 88 (85 for PC).

Either way, an 86 is not a flop. A flop would be a game that scores 70-ish...

Was it overhyped? Yea. I remember someone predicting that GT5 will get somewhere between a 97-99 for its metascore. That's a rediculous expectation.

What issues? It ended the trilogy in a way that made sense for the character and the plot. Animations and graphics were the best of the year and it featured some of the most epic moments in a game to date. Not my GOTY, but certainly one of the best titles this year.

Reality = AA
Game = Flop.......even though AA is still amazing for a game.

Wow so Forza 3 is still king.....review wise.......and sales wise (for now )

my install is taking me around 25min with 66% done.

GT5 will pretty much outsell Forza 3 pretty easily due to the Black Friday.

GT5 will pretty much outsell Forza 3 pretty easily due to the Black Friday.

forza 3 has a 3 million lead PLUS is bundled in the 250 gig 360

itll make it all the harder to catch up. besides, NA isnt GT strongest market

Its a flop fully. for the reason of the amount of years it took them to make it and it only got AA.

This isn't about sales neither which PS3 fanboys can't even counter on .

It's not as good as the old Gran Turismos but it's not a flop, it will sell like hot cakes come it's release which is what Sony wants.

it will sell more than 3M I'm guessing, play.com have shot up in terms of preorders, better for Sony the bundles have shot way up with Gt5 in too people are really anticipating this game.

I don't know about some of these reviews, guys. An article on N4G says the review copies shipped out Monday. You think that's enough time to play a game and properly review it?

That's because the online wasn't even enabled until the game released. I dont see how you review a game when you've only had it for a day and the online wasn't even available yet. =/ But even so, many will take these few reviews and dub GT5 to be a flop when the actual flop are the reviewers.

You bring up a good point. I liked MAG a lot (lol) and a lot of reviews came out before Zipper even put the servers up. I thought reviewers are suppose to be professional. A meaty content packed game like GT5 should be played for at least 15-20 hours before giving an honest review

Perhaps they should have waited until it comes out to review it.Like they did with Star Craft 2

It's not a flop if you buy it and like the game. Opinions>facts.

Once GT5 gets the same amount of reviews as Forza 3 and is still lower then you can call it whatever you want. Also as Shoke(Jamin) said they got copies of GT5 on Monday and the first reviews came out today and late last night. That gives them 2-3 days to play a massive game like GT5, and write the review. Also as Alan said NO REVIEWER whatsoever even mentioned the online (which is awesome). Sounds fishy to me. It saddens me that some of you call GT5 a flop and don't call Alan Wake one even though the same EXACT thing happened to it. *goes to play GT5*
