No I don't think Microsoft will ever completely buy out EA, they don't have the spare cash for it and EA are too big of a publisher.

It would create a monopoly of sorts. Not going to happen.

Mass Effect series

Imagine those series being exclusive to the next Xbox, no chance.

Well MS probably could afford EA seeing as how rich they are(they make 1 billion alone with xbl each year) but I doubt they would want to spend the money for it.

What's the point of thinking about a impossible hypothetical situation. If Microsoft did, they would rule the gaming industry.

EA loses money every fiscal quarter where as MS profits 5 billion every 3 months

EA is stubborn though
