Left 4 Dead vs. Left 4 Dead 2?

L4D2 WINS

L4D2 was an improvement... DLC+Updates would've been better, but Valve was in bed with M$ at the time and those options weren't really available for the 360 version. I understand why the fans raged about there being a sequel released (and in such a short amount of time), but the end result was enjoyable so why bitch about something that turned out great anyway?

L4D2. It's a glorified expansion pack in my eyes so I'd definitely go with it. Has more players online, too, I assume.

Sorry man...but I like L4D1. Its just soo fun. L4D2 was cool but not as great as the original....IMO.

Yeah, that's from a person that had L4D1 first. If you had L4D1 first you probably wouldn't get L4D2 cause it IS a glorified mod: more zombies, modes, weapons, and levels. No new gameplay mechanics. That's why they're both equally priced.


Yeah, probably L4D2. Like cigar once said, 'prequels are useless because no one will care as soon as the shinier sequels came out'. L4D2 may be just L4D1 with more, but when they're both equally priced, which one should I get--the one or the one with more?

Also some really nice guy (whose likes you just can't find on consoles) ported the entire L4D1 campaign to L4D2 for PC. So L4D2 for PC and nothing for Xbox.


Any word on WHY The Orange Box for PC is still 30 bucks but for Xbox it's for 20?

Probably because it's infinitely less popular on the Xbox and has to have its priced taken down a peg for people to buy it.

Seriously, TF2 is *the* PC shooter right now, as much as I hate to say it.

No, Counter-Strike is. I guess both, really.


I just heard about L4D1 on L4D2 mod for L4D2, so it's really pointless to buy L4D1 & L4D2 when I can get it for free if I buy L4D2.

Because you have to be a sadistic retard to play TF2 on a console.

I tried to like the original Left 4 Dead, but it gets so boring...The reason why I tried to like it because I love Valve for the Half-Life games.

Alot of the days the stats are JUST like this. CS:S has been on top every day for quite a while. TF2 still has alot of players, and is still popular. What REALLY pisses me off is how STILL more people play MW2 than TF2.

I recently played TF2. I've seen this trading bullshit has dropped: only once in around 15 games did someone come attempting to trade with me. And there's no more than 1 or 2 servers at any one time that's labeled a 'trading' server, and even then you can just mute the microphone because it's not like everyone's just sitting there talking. It's still a shooter and not Recettear . I can see Achievement servers becoming a new tactic of faggotry in this game.

Fair enough, though I'm sure TF2's numbers go up by a good chunk during peak hours and at least put up a better fight.

LOL I'm not fighting over which game is better. You can't even compare the games in the first place; TF2 is more casual-like and cartoonish, and the gameplay is a lot different (predetermined classes, set guns for each class, TOTALLY different maps and modes) and CS:S is more realistic and hardcore.
