lol, and 2009 was supposed to be the best year for the PS3.

In all honestly, Sony as a corporation needs to cut down on the amount of items it produces. Not every single line is going to turn profits especially in the phone market where that is dominated by Apple and the iPhone

I wonder how long Sony will be able to hold it's #2 position in the market share at this rate? The PS2 will be gone soon and PSP isn't doing very well (at least in America) PS3 is their only system showing any growth and they're still loosing money on it.

I think Sony took out BC (backwards compatibility) to save money. Bastards. They must burn for this (I want BC dammit), oh well PS3 fanboys are missing out when buying the Slim.

lol psp is not doing badly.. it's sold more than the Xbox & Gamecube combined.
but yeah sony have gone downhill a bit since ps2. Let's just hope for ps3 fanboys' sake that the ps3 eventually turns things around and manages to continue the success of ps2.

I only like all of the consoles except for the PS3. And PS2 was dominating the market so Xbox and Gamecube...Xbox was new and Gamecube = A kids toy from the public.

The PS3 is in 3rd place. But, according to that article, Sony still controls a little bit more of the overall video game market. PS3+PS2+PSP
