Forza 3 sold equal Uncharted2

Forza 3 was released later then UC2 and is a racing game and is pretty much equal in sales now.

And its closing in on GT5P with its 3,5m copies.

They are both around 2,2-2,3m copies.

well forza is at 2.12m and uncharted 2 at 2.52m so its close race

I'm for the 360 for sure guys. But the sales of uncharted 2 surprise me a lot! I have it and beaten it, and it's brilliant. Why PS3 fanboys don't buy their exclusives I'll never understand.

cause most ps3 owners arnt gamers, they own it for the blu ray and nothing else. Also Sony tampers with their official figures. I doubt a 30 million install base, only 2 million but their best exclusive.

LOL!!! Hell I wouldn't be surprised if after this next demo they say fuck you losers thanks for all the cash. We decided to cancel the game altogether. Hell if you think about it if you've bought all what 5 demo's? you've paid for a full copy & a half of GT5 if not more...

We all knew that Forza 3 wouldn't sell like Halo on day one, but we also knew that racing games tend to have long legs and continue selling for a long time. Not only has Forza 3 outsold Uncharted 2 in less time, it will continue to outpace it forever.

We're comparing the PS3 biggest exclusive to date to a more minor 360 exclusive and saying that even a minor 360 exclusive sells as well as the biggest PS3 exclusive.

Forza Motorsport3 is a great racer, it has both the simulator and arcade aspects covered (accordingly with your settings), this in itself is very appealing to many gamers out there that aren't into Arcade racers or simulator racers, so MS and Turn10 were already onto a winner right there for covering both in the same game. Visuals, physics, A.I, etc... All major aspects of what makes a great game is there in Forza Motorsport 3.

Uncharted 2 is one of the best Playstation 3 games there is, visuals, animations, comedy, storyline, action. It's not totally unique as it takes ideas from other games but is still a great presentation in itself. Naughty Dog imo carried Sony on their backs for a while with the PS3 and had they not been around, the PS3 would be in the shit.

Regardless of the above; Playstation 3 consumers generally buy less games than the XBOX 360 counterpart. XBOX 360 gamers (of which some are also PS3 gamers) have noticed and seen the effective marketing of the XBOX 360, they also see one console is dedicated to gaming as its main use, whilst the other 'only does everything' but hasn't specified what it's main use actually is.

I consider myself a gamer, I've purchased Forza Motorsport 3 and Uncharted 2 and both games although in different genres are very entertaining and enjoyable games, but I must say I'd expect more from the PS3 zealots (the diehards who claim they love everything Sony to death and hate anything 360 or Wii) in regards to one of their top tier titles.

Even the zealots don't really buy exclusives.

I lost crediblity to VGchartz, because Sony and a bunch of other sites said Uncharted passed 3.5 million, and is the fastest selling 1st party exclusive on any PS console!

Even 4 million with 30+ million consumer base isn't that riveting for the best exclusive the system has to this very date.

Compare it to Halo 3 at 11 million copies sold (most of that done in the earlier days when there were less 360 consumers too).

Look at the PS2 and its lineup, compared to that and its consumer base, PS3 games sell 2 times more per capita.
