N64 vs PS1. Your favourite and why

Thought I start some of these.

I liked the N64 the most. Perfect Dark, Smash Bros, Mario 64, Dr Mario, Donkey Kong 64, Turok 2 Seeds of Evil, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Paper Mario, etc.

Good times. Feel free to discuss N64, PS1, even the Sega Saturn

Same here.....N64 was focused on fun games, while PS1 and Saturn were focused on the best visuals and audio.

Loved the games: Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Doneky Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time. And many more!

Playstation 1 didnt have any good games when i was younger.

I owned the PS1 but I liked the N64 more.

Use to play GoldenEye at my friend's house from 11pm - 5am.

ps1 well to be honest I never owned an n64 so I cant really say anything

Well, I owned both for a time and although I bought more games for the ps1, I think n64 was my preference; the games just felt a lot more solid and the system got consistantly good games;
Conkers Bad Fur Day, Turok, Super Smash Bros, Mariokart, Super Mario 64, Loz Ocarina Of Time, Loz Majoras Mask, etc
I suppose both were good for their time though.

Best visuals? I don't think so, N64 looked like it had slightly better graphics.

Yea spyro was the only thing i liked about PS1.i used tol ove riptos rage and year of the dragon

crash bandicoot 2 was my favourite ps1 game

Goldeneye was the shit for N64!!! Final Fantasy VII was epic on the PS1.

for me ps1 was best becuase of games like

final fantasy 9
metal gear solid
resident evil 2 (also on the n64)
silent hill
tekken 3
spyro

but my favorite game was on n64

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME

n64 by far. much more classics, ports where better then the ps1 versions, it solidified 3D gaming's place in the industry(sure tehnically ps1 was the first 3D console, but before ninte showed how 3D gamin was done and gave birth to the control stick, ps1 either didn't do it right, or the games looked and played terribly), had WAY better graphics(i slobbed durin the openin to OoT), and was home to whats STILL known as the greatest game ever made...zelda OoT.

I grew up with an N64 and have only played a PSX a couple of times, so I'm a little bit biased in saying that I like the N64 a lot more. I got an N64 because I was a hardcore Nintendo and Pokemon fan at the time (still a fan of the former). I had Pokemon Snap (still one of my favorite games of all time), Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2, LoZ: OoT (another one of my favorites), Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (favorites), 007: GoldenEye, and Gex.

Wow, I have to find my N64 and the old games. I REALLY feel like playing Pokemon Stadium right about now.

Smash Bros, Mario 64, Dr Mario, Donkey Kong 64, Turok 2 Seeds of Evil, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Paper Mario, GoldenEye... all pwned ps1 ^_^... even tho i had both i only played tony hawk on my ps1 lol

PS1 - FinalFantasy franchise, GT, Tekken, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Resident Evil, Medivel....and god knows whats more that i'm not remembering...PlayStation One all the way.
Still like the N64 thought. Zelda, Mario, Killer Instinct,Pokemon, FUCKING CONKER BAD FUR DAY. But in the end i still go with the PSOne.....for fucking FF7.....but what they have done to you now..

Sam here cortex strikes back was a classic.i used to love playing crash bash as well on 2 players with my friends at parties at my house.but N64 was slightly better i mean LEGEND OF ZELDA ORCARINA OF TIME!!!!!!!

I like ps1 it had most of the games I played YEARS ago and i still have a few lying around. i also like n64 since it was the last Nintendo system that had what's missing: GREAT GAMES
