lol some people never get the picture

I admit it, some of the people I have on Xbox Live on my friends list are....well not people who I really consider as friends but merely are acquaintances. Sometimes I just don't feel like playing them and would rather just play online with random strangers. But recently I was playing Halo 3 online (on matchmaking) and one of my "friends" sent me a message saying: "want to play halo?" I replied, "no" so they should've got the picture because it said on my gamertag thing "playing Halo 3 on matchmaking" or whatever. But then they replied asking "ok what about gears of War*?" lmao xD Seriously....are people that dumb? Come on, if I tell them I don't want to play a particular game even though I'm playing it, it usually means that you have no interest in playing a game with that person.

*can't remember if it was that game or not but yeah... you get the picture.

I rarely talk with people online, unless spoken directly to me.

I am almost always up for a game, i might even change game to play with someone. I have played with DDD

Same with me. I dont talk to people that much.

I talk too much on Live. But it's mostly yelling at the game. My gamer rep got like 30% aggressive, 30% foul language, etc...

Someone on my friend list does stuff like this to me, for example I will be playing NFS Shift and then I get a message saying "wanna play cod 5?" and I reply "no" and then I get another saying "cod 6?" and I reply "no" and then I get another message "halo 3?" and I still say "no" but he does not get the picture and keeps sending me more messages about if I want to play a certain game but I keep giving him the same answer every single time and then I think to myself "does he not understand I dont want to play with him?" and then I just ignore his messages because if I dont I wont finish this race im on.

Except you played me @ PGR which I'd only played for like under half an hour before and I sucked sooo badly xD You were actually stopping at every bend in the track, waiting for me to catch up lmao

I still haven't got to grips with that game though..

Hahah yes! That's the exact same situation. It's just funny when people do that xD

It's even more annoying though when you're playing an online game, someone asks if you wanna play an entirely different game so you quit the game before it ends and then launch an entirely new game and by the time you do so, they've either got bored and signed out or they've started a game with no room for any mor eplayers so you can't join the game lol
Lol Blixtstorm did that today but it was my fault because I waited to finish the match I was playing on MW2 before joining the game and by the time I was ready to play, I couldn't join his session in progress. But it was ok coz he ended up playing the game with me anyway

If I dont want to be bothered I just make myself appear offline. I have a couple of friends that I cross game voice chat with but if I actually play MP I just play against random people. I did play Forza 3 online with ghost23 recently.

thats why i keep my friends list down to a minimum no more than 20 no people anoying you and no pop ups every 12 secs

Go to preference then online status then appear offline.

Yeah that happens to me, although it's no one on my friends list, since I only have 2 friends on it, whom I know in real life.

It's usually after i get a good score or something they start spamming invites, fucking hate that.

Your playing a game and getting that message sound every damn minute.

I know that first hand you rarley ever talked when we played spec ops but on topic Im usauly playing with friends and I talk alot unless Im playing a single player game then I dont

You should just put your status as OFFLINE. That way no one will bother you.
