laptop problem built in webcam

i have a Toshiba satellite L350-170 my laptop wont recognise my built in webcam. before i sent it in repair the webcam was disabled through device manager.



in my device manager where i try to enable it again all there shows is a scanner that i dont have. what should show up is Chicony USB 2.0 Camera.

i have tried to download the drivers for the camera and because i have disabled it it cant download because it cant find the camera.

if you know how to solve this it would be much appreciated. thankyou.

try downloading the drivers here: link

Just try to find your computers drivers, and install them. You should not need to enable it first to install them.

tried that and it still doesnt work. it just installs the program for the cam and then when i try to open it it says "webcam is either disabled or has failed. please check your webcam settings."

Usually there are forums on computer issues. Try google searching the issue.

laptops usually comes with a recovery disc... try with that.
