Have you played or own crysis?

i have cant run it at all on top settings but tomorrow my familys looking for a new one, so fingers crossed it's one that can run it at full, anyway ive played it through to the level were it's all icy and i gotta say it's great great graphics(from what i can run) and great Gameplay(not the best but it's durable)

i can run it on medium settings at 30 fps but I didn't build me PC with gaming in my mind since I have a 360 for gaming.

My laptop can handle the game on high settings, but not ultra high settings. I just got the demo.

about 2-3 years old. I have really good CPU and RAM but an absolute horrible graphics card cause i was already at my budget.

I built my computer for Crysis, but i have upgraded it since.

I had:

AMD Athlon x2 6400+
4GB ram @ 667mhz
Nvidia 8800 GTX (BFG)
Vista Ultimate 64
Crysis in High @ 25-30 FPS

Now the computer is:

AMD Phenom X4 O'C @ 4,2
16GB ram @ 887mhz
Nvidia 8800 GTX (BFG)
Windows 7 Proffessional
Crysis in Highest @ 35-45 FPS

16Gb RAM? Thats insane. Is that DDR2 or DDR3?
Anyway, Intel Core i7 FTW!! Screw AMD.

DDR2 still its almost as fast as the DDR3, The motherboard allows to overclock them to as fast as DDR3.

The thing is that the new Phenom (I have Phenom II X4 925) are extremly overclockable. I think there was a Japanese person that manage to have it stable at 8 or 9 Ghz with the quad core. The original clockspeed on mine is 2,8 Ghz.. and runs stable at 4,2 GHz with stock cooling. I think the average temperature is about 40-45C.

And yes i need a lot of rams since I render videos and game editing for people. All for my education Razz

i can run it on high (not highest) but im getting a new processor that can run it on the highest settings. and i have always had this gay audio problem :/

I have it and have played it. I can't play it on it's highest settings, but even on medium it looks amazing. I wish they'd port it over to consoles using the Crytech 2 engine before releasing Crysis 2.

the PC needs exclusives too.
besides just use a wired 360 controller.

I don't think that's true becuase PC isn't backed by a single company. Besides I hate it when sequels are released and nobody bothered to play the original. It's not like it was some super old 368 Turbo game. It's only a few years old and could easily be ported with their new console engine.

Its an awesome idea to port the old Crysis with the new engine to consoles.. maybe for the limited edition.

I really liked the story in Crysis, its kind of weird but it makes you go WTFBBQWUTLOL?!!
