A Kingdom for Keflings Review
800ms, 68MB, Avatar Support, Multiplayer- GameplayA Kingdom for Keflings is a game about a giant helping small people called "Kefling". You, the giant will take the shape of your avatar or some of the pre-made giants. The game is some kind of a real time strategy game, where you complete quests and help your Keflings make a Kingdom out of nothing.
You will help them collect diffrent stuff such as logs, rocks and crystal. You can aswell put your Keflings to work on your projects. But you as a main giant will do the most of the dirty work of building houses and workshops. Most of the time your Keflings will supply you with the nessesary goods you'll need to build some buildings, but some time you have to step in to help them as they are not fast workers at all.
The main goal in the game is to build the Castle for the Keflings.
- Graphics/ArtThe game is in HD but the grafics are not the games big appeal, some visual effects when the season changes, but nothing else then that. Its more of a cartoon game, but the grafics dont seem to be the big issue to it since the gameplay is so fun.
Later in the game you will also be able to paint the houses. Walls and roofs, to your standards and make it alot more diverse every time you play the game.
- Music/SoundThe music in the game is also a "cartoonie" aspect, but this I think is forgiven since the game size is on 68MB, so alot of various tracks is not a thing to expect from it. The sounds in the game is fun to hear, for example when you kick your Keflings for no reason.
All the activites have diffrent sounds and most of them are very well made.
- MultiplayerThere is a vast online for the game, as your giant can join a quick or custom game on XboxLive. Custom games allow you to set up rules for your Kingdom, and soon other giants will also join the game. Quick games lets you jump in to another players game, and start helping out eachother as you make your Kingdom. Its a great addition for the game as you and your friends can build for fantasy kingdom.
- ReplayabilityThis is a very fun game and worth 800ms, its fun for the younger and older generations aswell. The controls are easy and are showing on the screen if they are available at the time, or will pop-up when they are. They are explained in pictures rather then english as most are.
The solid multiplayer mode makes this a very fun addition for your Xbox, singleplayer aswell for some people that want to make their dream kingdom and not have other giant avatars destroying their dreams.
I recommend to try this game.
