Now that we are approaching the beta testing and Reach videos and news are all over the place...

Great idea. Once the Beta hits on May 3rd the world is going to have Halo fever. Best to not let it turn all the categories into Halo categories.

The gaming websites are covering Halo Reach like crazy. Go on to IGN's youtube channel and at least 60% of their vids are Halo Reach. No PS3 exclusive ever gets this much coverage. And its only a beta!! not even the full game.

well betas are supposed to be treated that way.
sadly the beta is released on a monday, or else bungies servers would crash to the millions and millions downloading the beta

you know when your servers crash cause of to many players you know you got a good game

I doubt the servers will crash. Bungie and Microsoft have been preparing this for months, theres no way they will let something as big as Halo Reach crash.

Reach Beta ends May 19th confirmed by Microsoft. That's a little over 2 weeks of Reach epicness.

Things confirmed about Halo Reach (help me expand):

-Loadouts with armour abilities during multiplayer
-Sprint (Spartans)
-Evade (Elites)
- Jet packs (Elites and Spartans)
-Invisibility (Elites and Spartans)
- Armour lock (Spartans)
-DMR is a replacement battleriffle
-Elites are stronger than the Spartans
-Elites have regenerating health
-Regular slayer will be Spartans vs Spartans only.
-New game modes like Stockpile and Invasion.
-It runs 720p (with 2 framebuffers) native locked at 30 FPS.
-Up to 40 enemies on screen during campaign
-Up to 20 vehicles on screen during campaign
-Forge will be back
-4 player Co-op will be back, including the 4:3 splitscreen setup.
-Your personal Spartan armour can be switched between campaign and Multiplayer.
-There is a credit Call of Duty-like system for leveling up.
-New and improved Matchmaking
-No dual-weilding
-Campaign the same length as Halo 3 (about 7-8 hours depending on skill level)
-A much more sandbox-like experience during Campaign mode

Is anybody else having problems getting in a match? It's fucking annoying.

I've been in 4 matches, yet the beta says I've only been in one. And 2 of the matches were laggy as shit, froze after a while, but i could still talk to those in my party and open up the dashboard thing with the home button. So I left those.

Right now it says this crap "The Halo: Reach server in not available at this time. Please try again later." yet I can clearly see that it says some of my friends are in a match and others are searching.

its crap right now hopefully theyll extend it because of this crappy start

Ive got in to a loading screen to one game.... then it locked.... FUCK!!!!


Now i cant get in to anything, just keep getting: "Playlist data pending download..."

Yeah Bungie have said they are having Playlist and server issues. I'm downloading now and playing when I get back from school. Hopefully it will be fixed by then.
