What would the console wars be like if the RROD never happened to the 360?

I think 360 would be wayy closer to 1st place, and ps3 fans will have less things to bring down the 360 for.

I don't think the vast majority of people buying Xbox 360s had heard about RROD unless it happened to them and by that time they had already bought it, loved it, and MS covered it with a 3 year warrenty. The only big difference would be that MS would be able to keep more of their money instead of using it to fix the situation.

Anyway, Jasper Chip Xbox 360s have a lower failure rate than PS3s and the upcoming Slim 360 will probably have a lower failure rate than even the Wii.

how you know the slim 360 is real?it could be a new chip.

2) No it will never be in first. The Wii has more sales than the 360 and ps3 combined.

I don't think it will be in first place but PS3 would be absolutely nothing if RRoD never happened. It's sad that it happened in 05/06 and PS3 fanboys are bringing it up in 2010 when its fixed. It's cause they have nothing else negative to say about the 360 and are grasping for a last excuse.

The sales of the 360 would probably be a bit higher then what they are now.

Anyway, I imagine the sales would be kinda higher but it's not really that serious now.

mate. is it fixed to a point that its not a major problem. Don't believe any of that 54% survey bullshit cause that is just PS3 fanboys altering the outcomes of that survey. The new Jasper chips have proven to have the same failure rate, if not less than the PS3's.

It would of helped sales, but it still wouldn't of surpassed the Wii.

Something else would've just broke down on it.

add a couple million to 360s userbase...........thats about it.

The 360 would be awesome and would have one either way.

It wouldn't do much except:

1.) Take away PS3 fanboys' only valid point.
2.) slightly increase the userbase since some people ditched Xbox for a PS3 because of the RROD.

Yes, Microsoft had so much hype and everything into it that it couldv'e been HUGE....now if we see a 360 Slim/Natal bundle for $199.99.....and Microsoft guarantees you it wont break, maybe it will re-assure the consumer base.
