What was your favourite movie as a kid?

I reckon mine would be either Toy Story or The Lion King. Many good memories....
I also think The Lion King is the best cartoon disney film ever made.

I just have to say that Disney isn't what it used to be...

Just for measure, Disney made 30 movies from 1937-1991.
And 24 animated/cartoon theatrical movies from 1992-2010.

There is no love put in to the movies anymore
Last great movie from Disney is probably Mulan back in '98 in my opinion...

Even though I saw The Terminator and Robocop when I was young I have to agree that they can't be considered suitable for kids. I saw a fair share of Disney films back in the day but even at a young age I found them rather uninspiring and I was never a fan of movies that feel the need to break out into song which Disney films have a habbit of doing. Don't get me wrong I thought Toy Story was amazing but I was already 9 by the time that movie was released.

Without a doubt the best movies I recall as a kid which I still hold in high regard even to this day are the Back to the Future movies.

I was simply blown away by the whole time travel concept as a child and that film captured it perfectly. I thought the Delorean was the coolest car ever made and I honestly thought by the year 2015 we would have flying cars, hover boards and microwaves that could expand a 2 inch Pizza into a 12 inch one.

I can even remeber when I was just 6 years old I went to Universal Studios in Florida and I wasn't allowed on the Back to the Future: The Ride because I was too small and I remember been absolutely devestated about it. I have been back several times since then and I loved it, it's just a shame they replaced it with The Simpsons ride!?

Oh and the soundtrack was nothing short of Epic!

Arghh I know. I hate the songs in disney films!!!!!
I always used to cringe, even as a kid, when I watched them. It's one of the reasons I always had a hatred towards The Jungle Book. I personally thought the songs were fooking lame.
