Halo MC - Why don't they just show his face?

Is there a reason Bungie decided to hide the MC's face?

Because you take the role of Master Chief throughout the games.

Mayby its Samus who is MC rofl.

No seriously i have no idea. Proberly want to keep it a secret.

Because in the games,they dont want you to feel like masterchief(as in the character).

Bungie wanted you to imagine what he looks like. Some will imagine him as themselves other will imagine him in other ways.

its the same as silent protagonists. like in the legend of zelda how link doesn't talk,its to make you feel like your link.

master chief's face isnt shown so you feel like master chief
