One game mechanic was an absolute bitch though. The game had a HUGE use of permenance when you die. If you don't press the eject button before your mech blows your character dies and because no one really respawns dying makes the game delete your save file. You learn to become friends with that eject button fast.

That sounds amazing, for some reason I really enjoy games that punish you for dying and such. I've always loved games such as Armored Core, Virtual On, some amazing gundam game for dreamcast, and Front Mission. But nothing really matches the experience of Steel Battalion and especially the damn battle station. I remember hearing people would customizing theirs but I'm not so sure about that. Checking youtube videos of the game today is still a great experience itself, I love the hud. I heard something about chromehounds was one of the closest games to Steel battalion but I never checked it out.

I never got to check out Chromehounds. Should really do that sometime soon but I hear they closed the online to it. I'll check up on the single player.
I'm looking forward to Armored Core 5 now that I hear they are going back on their roots and expanding the gameplay to make it more strategic.

Speaking of hard games, have you tried Demon's Souls?

Yes I was thinking about getting back into it sometime soon. I finished it as a thief with a bss, one of the most challenging games I've played in awhile. But after you get used to it, it became quite easy so giving a ng+ a go will be wonderful this summer.

I don't see why games that are on the PC and Xbox be allowed to be used as ammo against the PS3.

Those games are multiplats, or multiPLATFORMS, I really don't think it is fair just to ignore a platform, especially one as respectable as the PC. I believe the term exclusive in gaming means that the game can not be played on any other platform.

If I had the option to play any game on any platform, I would play games like l4d or mass effect on the PC.

As much as it would pain to be heard and said, maybe Xbox doesn't have that many exclusives as it used to. That of course doesn't mean the Xbox doesn't have any good games, because it does, Halo, Gears, and even multiplats like l4d and Mass Effect. But in my opinion it doesn't have that many exclusives being made at the moment

In a STRICT 360 vs PS3 comparison, it is worth noting that 360 can play those games and PS3 cant.

Buy those games on your PC for all we care, but the point is you ARENT buying it for PS3.
