There are also things like Voice Messaging, Cross Game Invites integration to the UI, Ingame Music for all games (not really a direct Live feature, but I guess it's still noteable right?)...
It also provides services such as Last FM radio (I've used it, it's really cool actually), and ESPN coming out later this year (?)
Deal of the Weeks and Gold Exclusives vary between games, add-ons, arcade games, and even XBL subscriptions.
As for the online server thing, that's just bullshit. I've had much more problems playing multiplayer games on PSN then on XBL...Only game on XBL that lags for me is Gears of War 2 and even then it's more of an issue with the game's netcode rather than XBL's connection to the server. Who ever started that rumor saying "PSN provides dedicated servers"....Yea that's bullshit too.. PUBLISHERS provide dedicated servers to games. Sony provides dedicated servers for some of their multiplayer titles (MAG, Resistance, Killzone..) But that doesn't mean Xbox Live has no games with dedicated servers. Forza 3 used dedicated, most EA games use dedicated (BFBC2, Medal of Honor), Valve games (L4D) uses dedicated servers. And so on. Even then though, I'd say roughly 90ish% of all multiplayer titles on both PSN and XBL run off of P2P servers which depend off of the host's connection. I do agree that the UI is better, and that Xbox LIVE is better overall, but I do think that features like last.fm are useless. Deal of the Week is alright, but if you honestly like Deal of the Week, then you can't complain about Playstation Plus offering random games. As for the online servers, I know not all games on 360 use P2P, and I know that not all on PS3 use dedicated, but I've experienced much less lag online with PS3. My personal experience, that's all.

You will find that Deal of the Week discounts are normally for some of the highest rated DLC's on XBOX Live Marketplace and not just random games. Some of the recent ones from memory: AC2, Borderlands, Forza 3, Fallout 3, Dragon Age, GTA IV. All AAA titles, its a great time to save money on DLC.

I haven't checked it in awhile, but usually when I do, it's for a game no one plays. Then again, I shouldn't knock Deal of the Week, since without it I would've never discovered Ikaruga.

| I like Last FM, I can listen to my favorite radio stations while working on college projects without the need of an actual radio.
It's useless to you, just like how an internet browser on a console is practically useless to me...Still doesn't mean people don't use it.

| Hmm....I would say XBox because while PS3 Slim costs less to run, it loses backwars support and now overheats which is worse. XBox makes UPGRADES, ha, SOny you should learn to upgrade your systems. Jeez, what was the GO? But yeah, easy Kinect support, fancier system, and SILENT. Aah. | |

That's funny, considering that the 360 is not capable of 1080p output, and that i was streaming 1080p with my PS3 yesterday...

You're off. PS3 doesn't overheat, you're mixing it up with the 360. What upgrades have they made that weren't put in place to fix their mistakes? Stupid fanboy.

http://www.gofanboy.com/home/fanboy-features/3263-xbox-360-slim-beats-ps3-slim-in-heat-tests-multiple-times/ The first tests. Then after half a year on the market proved to get hotter than the PS3... Come on MS!
