My Honest Views On Xbox 360

Although I believe Xbox 360 is the best system of this generation and is definitely my favorite system of all time, I have to be entirely honest here.

I hate halo
Yes, that's right. I think Halo is awful. Don't get me wrong, Halo games are excellent but they don't interest me at all. Why do I play it? Because the multiplayer is beast. It's so addictive online and there's no equivalent game in terms of multiplayer. The only Halo campaign I liked was ODST and I didn't love it, I just thought it was pretty good.

Gears isn't that great
Yep, I mean the games are good for a while but then they get a little dry and repetitive. The gameplay is good but it lacks variety. It really is not my kind of thing.

Mass effect could have been better
Okay, although Mass Effect 1 took a while to get into, I ended up loving it so much. But then on replay I just got enfuriated by the checkpoint system. I got mass effect 2 and got bored so quickly, I am still far from completion. It's just inferior to the first in so many ways.

Hang on a minute, notice something?
All the above games are sci-fi or futuristic. That's one of the main reasons they don't appeal to me that much. Gears I can kind of like because some locations are cool and mass effect 1 had a lot of exploration, which is cool and some characters were awesome. Apart from that, though, those games just aren't quite my thing.

So why do I like Xbox if I don't like it's top exclusives that much?

Simple.

Crackdown - ridiculously addictive game, much better than grand theft letdown 4
Bully - one of my favorite games of all time on ps2 is on xbox
Fable 2 - I love open world rpgs and this is one of my favourites. I plan on getting Fable 3 as well.
Alan Wake - awesome game, cinematic yet not linear.

And then the multiplats:

COD MW2 - Yeah the multiplayer got annoying after a while but I'd take the campaign over any Halo campaign
TES OBLIVION - currently my favourite game of all time
Red Dead Redemption - I loved GUN on ps2 and this game is better in pretty much every aspect

Those are just some examples but yeah, you get the idea.


Think of this what you will. Arby and Generalmld will hate me for saying I hate halo's campaigns but hey, that's just my opinion. Ban me if it's such a crime. lol

And to add to this:
A common thing people say about Xbox (negative aspect) is the way it has loads of shooters. This is kind of true but there are plenty of xbox games that aren't shooters. But what is a bad aspect of xbox and ps3 too for that matter, is that neither system have A Legend Of Zelda equivalent.
Ps3's trying to get a Halo
Xbox 360's probably trying to get an Uncharted or something
Which is a shame because there is a better game series known as the Legend Of Zelda. Why is it that so far there has been no game that has been able to top an n64 title?

I agree gears online I hate so much but the campain is very good as for halo I also agree the campain isnt that good and I too would take cods campain over halo's anyday

And I agree with Halo, the campaign is stale and boring. 2D characters and very repetitive gameplay. Although I disagree with Mass Effect, I love that game to death, both of them.

Yes mass effect 1 was absolutely amazing and mass effect 2 is as well but I found me2 not so exciting and even me1 isn't one of my absolute favourite games because I don't like sci-fi.

If there is like 2 games that you like on 360 why don't you have a PS3 instead?

Btw I just named a few examples. I just think the best exclusives are not that great. I think some of the AA or even A exclusives are better.

Valkyria chronicles? I could have pirated the psp version but it looks so bad I wouldn't even download it for free!
Littlebigplanet is awesome but I played the hell out of the psp version and I'm not really looking for more. It's a game I spend about 20 minutes at a time on, and for that I'll play it round my friend's house.
Demon souls is cool but too hard for me that it seems unappealing. I wouldn't get dead rising because of the checkpoint/difficulty so same goes with Demon souls.

try playing Demon Souls with a friend, its hell'a fun and will only cost you like £24.99 on amazon.

God of war does suck, i think it was overated. the only think i liked about it was the story, but gameplay is the same.

3DDGH is just like the old Zeldas, but didn't get the ratings because it was really similar to it. infamous is nothing like the POS known as Protoshit, and is my favorite game this generation. Valkyria chronicles on the PSP is really ugly but the PS3 is an artistic masterpiece and is really refreshing gameplay wise(its like ME's but with tanks, and its turn based). And For LBP, look into LBP2 because the game is nothing like the first and the one on the PSP. Someone already made a copy of MW2 but with an LBP feel(and it was an FPS with ammo count and everything).
