Cost of ps3 and 360

Wow, what an ignorant person who wrote this comment:

Ok, let's rip this apart.

I have the 60GB Xbox 360 model. It cost around £150 (link provided below) and came with a controller, headset and ethernet. I used the ethernet to connect to pc which connected to wifi to play online. I did buy another controller but it was unnecessary so I'm not including that to the price.
I've never bought a fan, new supply unit, extra hard disk, controller charger, extra wifi, extra warranty (because 360 comes with that anyway), power supply, etc.
Online, I'm not including because that is a different subject entirely and yet again, isn't a requirement.
As for batteries, for each controller, £1.50 batteries can last me about half a month.
So, that comes to a total of ........... well, £150 but with £3 a month. Quite a lot less than $300 of ps3 and the $700 which he claimed the 360 costs....

They say ignorance is bliss.... this guy must be in heaven.

Oh and another funny thing, my 360 has only ever overheated once when I left it on all day sitting on a carpet in quite an enclosed space, but I've never gotten the RROD. lol

By now i think both consoles cost the same?
I mean where i came from a PS3 is 299 euros. A XBOX ELITE plus a One Year Gold card is also 299 euros. Both without games.
But it was not always like that.
I bought my 360 60 gigs december last year for 270€ plus Gears of War 2(bundle), amazing deal.
The PS3 bundle was the 80 gigs i guess plus one of the following (Resistence2, LBP, ABBA ,or MGS4) for 399€. That's just insane!!!!!
Even if i bought the bundle plus one yr gold sub it would be more cheaper.

Mine has overheated over 3 times within almost 2 years (from christmas) and no problems with RROD...

i never got an RROD it never overheated and i have had it quite a while 2 years i think

and my friends ps3 gets overheated all the times when we play gta4 online

As far as costs go, I think they are both the same, except only the 360 is actually worth the money.

Well, that's you. A lot of people need wi-fi since their computer is not in the same room as their console. I don't plan on running a 20ft ethernet cable across my house if I don't have to.

The actual price isn't what I was commenting on, I was commenting on how retarded he is by claiming that it costs like $700 for an Xbox 360. lol
