Xbox LIVE is more routinely updated. It hasn't crashed THAT many times, and even if it did, no one expects it to be flawless. The fact is, it's more stable and routinely regulated compared to PSN.

Hey, the ApocalyPS3 wasn't a huge deal. Shit happens. But do you know where it didn't happen? On XBL, because like I said, it's more routinely regulated.

When Live does crash, Microsoft get straight on it to resolve the problem.

But when PSN crashed on because of the Leap Year, Sony didn't do anything, they sat back and hoped that it would fix itself. Luckily for them it did, but that doesn't hide the fact that they were just lazy.

Live is the better service because it is constantly improved and moderated unlike PSN.
