Ps3 is coming out with a premium service

I think if all the services I heard are coming with it, if they actually do come then I will get it. But maybe this way they can invest in some stuff that Live has it can maybe be on par with Live.

Well im getting it. Also had live but my xbox rrod. getting the xbox soon too though. mittens1231 on live and mittens on psn

"PSN as you know it will remain a free service." So it sounds like its no big deal for those who only care about free online play.

XBOX Live has proven itself to be ahead of PSN time and time again and it will be the same this time around.

Sounds like a good deal. Either keep the basic free online you have now or upgrade to a service similar to XBL. You get the best of both worlds.

Unless they totally revamp the interface to be totally integrated with PSN and vice versa, then I'm not buying it. I mean sure, XBL has a ton of features that PSN doesn't have at the moment. But the BIGGEST thing about XBL is how its integrated to the user interface to make it feel like one, seamless, experience. Even single player games like mass effect feels socially connected to the gaming world.

XBL parties, cross game chat, cross game invites, ingame music, etc are just Icing on the cake.

Truth be told though, I'm anticipating what Sony has to offer for this new service. I mean even if it isn't up to par with XBL it should be way better than the current service.

Yeah, I mean for PSN being free so mostly every PS3 user has it, you'd think it would be super integrated into the interface but it barely is. That is one thing I love about XBL, it is integrated straight into everything. But it would suck if you didnt have internet.
