Kinect surpasses 2.5 million units

Sold/Shipped whatever it sold well during Black Friday. Which reminds me, when I was at Wallmart on Friday I noticed all Xbox's were sold out and only one standalone Kinect unit was left, meanwhile PS3's, Wii's, and Move were plentiful in stock.

Getting one this Saturday, cant wait

Same in Chicago. But the kinect bundles were still on sale. the rest of everything was sold out.

I don't care for Kinect. Bad move by Microsoft to try and steal the Wii's casual audience. They should've made more exclusive games instead. Like, a new Kameo game or a new Perfect Dark game.

Divide that in half because some may only have 1 move controller, many have more then 1. So its safe to simply cut it in half.

Total unique move users = 1.5 million

Funny thing is we are not on the holidays yet, we could see a good spike in sales there, both bundles and standalones

Kinect has shipped 2.5 million units, Move has shipped 4.1 million units. Move is winning in sales right now. Neither companies give out the real sales numbers. Kinect will probably outsell it by Christmas though.

This has nothing to do with being a fanboy. Microsoft had clearly stated 2.5 million sold and Sony have said 4.1 shipped. I don't care how you interpret that but those are direct figures from the companies themselves.

ANY company can say that a shipment is a sale, because a retailer bought it from the company, and the company has almost no idea what happened to the shipment once it hit retailer aside from the knowledge that their unit will eventually be sold to a consumer.

Well this is pretty good. I believe it will sell the 5 million Microsoft wants to get out to the market. But then again any person can tell you that based on how much it has sold this far.

ANY company can say that a shipment is a sale, because a retailer bought it from the company, and the company has almost no idea what happened to the shipment once it hit retailer aside from the knowledge that their unit will eventually be sold to a consumer.
